“Too much of the time we are being pulled away from ourselves and into the maelstrom of commenting, debating, and arguing about life events. Yet the more we are engaged in discussing, or following, these events, then the more we are carrying their energy. And the more we carry this contaminated energy, the more we exist under a spell. There is a spell upon us, and we are being distracted from the essential. We are being lulled away from recognizing the innate noble condition of the human spirit (or soul). And the last thing we really want is to lead soulless lives.” - What a perfect way of helping folks to see how best to navigate events this coming year. Thank you so much for that beautiful wisdom Kingsley.
Thank you, Nico. I appreciate your feedback and words. Maybe the best we can do within the current maelstrom is to keep it human - keep ourselves human. And to appreciate the genuine gestures of life ...
Was Rudolf Steiner mentioned in 'People of the Secret'? I've been reading your 'Notes From a Lesser Reality'. You wrote, 'According to Austrian mystic-philosopher Rudolf Steiner, electricity is light in a sub-material state. That is, it is a form of light that has fallen below the level of nature and has become what he termed "sub-nature"'. I presume he was referring to artificially generated electricity, and I think he was right to warn humankind 'to be cautious not to build cultures dependent or based on electricity.' I'm just wondering how electricity can be 'sub-nature' when all organisms with mitochondria use electron transport, and there are really spectacular examples of animals (e.g the electric eel) which used electricity to stun prey.
Having mentioned this I do recommend your metaphysical essays, and greatly value your work generally.
Hi Ita - and thank you for your comment. Rudolf Steiner was not mentioned in 'People of the Secret' (as far as I recall after 3 readings!) - although Rodney Collin (from above) is mentioned extensively in the opening chapter. Yes, I have written elsewhere about Steiner's comment/observation that electricity is 'fallen light' and is 'sub-nature.' However, Steiner was referring to human-made electricity ('artificially generated electricity' - as you rightly point out), such as is created in our power stations and then used to power our technological systems & infrastructure. Steiner, in this case, did not clearly make a distinction between this human-made electrical power, and biological electricity. You are correct that biological organisms (and systems) can create their own form of bio-electricity. The human body is the same: human DNA gives off bio-photons (light - i.e., electricity), which creates a photon field within the body that functions as an instantaneous information field. Many organisms make use of forms of bio-photons, which is a natural form of bio-electricity. This should be distinguished between the electric - and electromagnetic - fields that result from human-made forms of electricity (such as from our techno-devices and radiations). Perhaps both Steiner and myself should have been clearer on this distinction?! Thanks for asking :-)
Thanks, Kingsley. Something else occurred to me. I was wondering if an Austrian film maker, who produced a documentary about a tiny number of people worldwide, had any connection with Steiner. I can't remember the name of the film, or the producer, but the people he recorded had one thing in common. They had the ability to live without food because they could utilise light directly as their energy source. This doesn't seem to me totally outrageous because the cytochromes in our mitochondria, haemoglobin in our blood and chlorophyll in plants all share the porphyrin ring. Perhaps both Jesus and Rumi had this ability to live on light. There may be a DNA mutation involved. On the other hand, we may all have this ability, but our crazy modern lifestyle (including over-reliance on electricity) is somehow undermining it.
Thanks, Ita. I am not aware of this documentary, yet this concept of living entirely off sunlight is quite well-known in India. I personally thought it developed as a Yogic discipline. There are some famous yogis who claim to have lived purely by 'staring at the sun.' I knew some friends in Spain who tried 'sun-gazing' - which is a known discipline - yet it must be done only at certain hours during sunrise and sunset so not to damage the eyes. I would think that it could be possible, at some stage of the human condition, to be able to live from sunlight alone, and this may be a form more adaptable to future stages of evolution?
Thanks! And yes, Earth's magnetic field is now dramatically decreasing (so much so, I believe that 'official channels' have stopped announcing it). And so, solar and cosmic radiation is now having greater impact upon terrestrial and human cycles....
Rodney Collin is mentioned in the opening chapter of “The People of the Secret”… Telling perhaps 🤔 l look forward to learning more about this enigmatic character…

The name of the film is 'Am Anfang war das Licht'. English version is 'In the Beginning There was Light.' Director: PA Straubinger. Released in 2010.

Good to find you here KIngsley. Thank you for the wise words.
Thanks Peter - good to see you here too. Hope you are keeping well, my friend?

Indeed he is Gor, especially in relation to his book 'The Theory of Celestial Influence' ... I'll keep on reading his bio .....
